From the brisk weather alone this week we can see that fall is upon us, so what will this season’s wedding trends be?? Let’s see. . . fall_wedding

Colors
I am loving that this year’s wedding colors are shaping up to be more unique then the typical autumn shades of years past. Purple is looking to be one of the most popular colors in weddings this fall. We can also expect to see a lot of deep reds and crimson, hues of orange, golden topaz and honey, and also some crosses between beige and grey. All of these colors can make a room pop when paired correctly.

Saving Money and The Environment
The days of unloading your life savings (and your families) on having your wedding are in the past. Being wasteful is out, whether it is with money, or the environment. Green is still in this season, and will most likely be a continuing trend for years to come in my opinion. There are so many great options for holding a green wedding, that will let your guests know you are in tune with what is happening outside of your wedding. This is a topic our blog has covered before that you can look up for more details.
Spending less on decor, and other aspects of your wedding is also in. Individuality, and creativity in DIY projects incorporate a sense of your personal style into your wedding, and save money. There are websites, magazines, blogs, and TV shows everywhere showing how easy it can be to create these items yourself, and still have gorgeous decor at your reception.

The Great Outdoors
Times are progressing, and couples are becoming more creative. They don’t simply look for established reception sites, but also look at locations that could possibly be turned into a reception site (National Parks, Farms, etc.). There are also many outdoor venues that are established businesses for couples to choose from if they don’t want to search for their own. Barns, Old Estates, and Lakeside Houses with acres of lawn for tenting are all great options for this trend. These events will incorporate a Vintage look which can involve lot’s of homemade items, mis-matched dishes, older fabrics, various linens, etc. and can be very unique and fun.

Creative Lighting
The more weddings and events people attend, the more they are falling in love with lighting, and the effect it can have on transforming a room. More and more entertainment companies are offering it as part of their packages, or linking up with lighting professionals to pass on discounted rates and make it more affordable for their clients.
